Goals: To analyze the theme of a play and find and analyze textual evidence to support that theme.
Agenda
1) Finish Monsters are Due on Maple Street
2) Brainstorm topics for theme statements
3) Tell Mrs. K your writing partner. If you don't have a preference, she will choose one for you.
4) Write a theme statement with your partner. Get it approved by the teacher. Use this format:

5) Fill out this form and get approved by Mrs. Karney.
